MISSION AND INVITATION: The Call for Papers will be available September this year.
We would like to invite you to join us in October 2013 in Dubai for the 8th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back & Pelvic Pain. Held every three years and attracting 1000 to a maximum of 1500 participants, it is the only truly multidisciplinary conference on lumbopelvic pain.
This global congress invites practitioners, academics, researchers and policy makers from all continents and from clinical areas as wide ranging as medicine, physiotherapy, chiropractic, biomechanics, osteopathy, manual therapy, exercise therapy, myotherapy, orthopaedic, neuro-surgery and sports medicine. The content of this educational program is determined by rigorous assessment, medical practice, literature and chart review. All programs so far presented have been accredited internationally and by all Professional Organizations endorsing the programs.
This 4-day congress will be held between October 27 – 31 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai. The Intercontinental Hotel has been chosen to be the headquarters for the 2013 congress. The organization has negotiated best prices at the hotel in order to make a one stop possible for as many participants as possible.

FORMAT AND STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM
Like the Los Angeles congress, this program will be breaking away from the traditional mould of loosely related papers. Moderators and speakers chosen for their expertise in selected areas will summarize presentations, clearly delineate opposing views and attempt to reach a consensus. They will assist participants in evaluating the information presented.
Sunday through to Friday will be plenary sessions. Thursday afternoon will consist of three parallel sessions and Friday will complete the program with a parallel and plenary session.
The objectives of the congress will be achieved in a four day program, starting Sunday, October 27. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will consist of formal ex cathedra, tightly coordinated lectures. These lectures are intended to present and debate what is reasonably known in the field. A poster exhibition will illustrate worldwide scientific progress in the field.
More information will be added to the website in due time so please visit www.worldcongresslbp.com regularly for the latest information or leave your email address and you will be updated regularly.
Looking forward to meeting many of you in Dubai, October 2013,
Andry Vleeming, Colleen Fitzgerald, Abduladheem Kamkar
