MISSION AND INVITATION

We would like to invite you to join us in October 2016 in Singapore for the 9th Interdisciplinary World Congress on Low Back & Pelvic Girdle Pain. Held every three years and attracting 1000 to a maximum of 1500 participants, it is the only truly multidisciplinary conference on lumbopelvic pain.

This global congress invites practitioners, academics, researchers and policy makers from all continents and from clinical areas as wide ranging as medicine, orthopedics, neuro-surgery, physiotherapy, chiropractic, biomechanics, osteopathy, manual therapy, exercise therapy, myotherapy, and sports medicine. The content of this educational program is determined by rigorous assessment, medical practice, literature and chart review. All programs so far presented have been accredited internationally and by all professional organizations endorsing the programs.

This 4-day congress will be held between October 31 – November 03 2016 at the Marina Bay Sands, Expo and Convention Center, Singapore. The Hotel Marina Bay Sands has been chosen to be the headquarters for the 2016 congress. The organization has negotiated best prices at the hotel in order to make a one stop possible for as many participants as possible.

FORMAT AND STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM

Like the Dubai congress, this program will be breaking away from the traditional mold of loosely related papers. Moderators and speakers chosen for their expertise in selected areas will summarize presentations, clearly delineate opposing views and attempt to reach a consensus. They will assist participants in evaluating the information presented. Monday through to Thursday will be plenary sessions with parallel sessions in between.

The objectives of the congress will be achieved in a four day program, starting Sunday, October 30 with pre-registration. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will consist of formal ex cathedra, tightly coordinated lectures. These lectures are intended to present and debate what is reasonably known in the field. E  poster presentations will illustrate worldwide scientific progress in the field. All presentations will be included in the proceedings, available at the time of the congress.

More information will be added to the website regularly so please visit www.worldcongresslbp.com on a regular basis for the latest information or leave your email address and you will be updated automatically.

Looking forward to meeting many of you in Singapore, October 2016,
