Project Description

Linda van Dillen is Professor and Division Director of Research in Physical Therapy and Orthopaedic Surgery, Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine.

Linda’s research focuses on mechanisms contributing to musculoskeletal pain, with an emphasis on the study of spinal pain conditions. She serves as a scientific reviewer for private and federal international agencies and has been funded as a principal investigator by the Foundation for Physical Therapy, the Missouri Physical Therapy Association, the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and the National Institutes of Health.

Linda has been serving on a variety of committees for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and the Academy of Physical Therapy Research.  She has presented as a keynote speaker at numerous national and international scientific conferences focused on musculoskeletal pain conditions.  She has received a number of research awards including the Section on Women’s Health Research Award, Helen Hislop Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Professional Literature, John P. Maley Research Award, Rose Excellence in Research Award and the Career Excellence in Biomechanics Research Award.
