Poster presentation guidelines

Preparing your presentation

Poster presentations will take place during the lunch break on either Thursday November 2nd or Friday November 3rd. Please check the program for your day allocation.

The format of these hard copy posters should be: 90 cm wide x 120 cm high (portrait position). This is approximately ‘A0’ size.

Your poster should have visual impact to be able to easily communicate your research: Introduction and Conclusions should be concise and clear. Feel free to include diagrams or pictures. Please note this is a guide only and not compulsory.

During the congress

Bring your poster along with you to the exhibition hall next to the Goldfields theatre, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.

We will supply material to hang your poster on the boards.

We encourage you to be in the exhibition space during the meal breaks so delegates may ask you any questions they have regarding your poster.

Time of presentation: on your allocated day, the poster walk will take place during the lunch breaks. Poster Tour Leaders will be assigned to direct the poster presentations which are grouped in themes. The group will move from one poster to the next in the order outlined in the program. The allocated time is 2 minutes for your presentation followed by 1 minute question time from your audience.

Posters must be removed by the end of lunch on Saturday 4th November 2023. Any posters not removed by this time will be disposed of.
